by admin on March 19, 2010

Electronics manufacturers, Samsung, have joined the ranks of the Android phones with the Galaxy i7500, which is a small phone with large possibilities. It is the first android phone to come with a 3.5-millimeter headphone jack and this will ensure that one can enjoy music on any kind of headphones. Released in June 2009 in the UK on the O2 network and rumored to launch in the American market under T-Mobile’s wing, this phone has promised to give other android phones a run for their money and at about 240 Sterling Pounds, it is easy to understand why this phone is being considered the android of the future.

The Samsung Galaxy i7500 has been considered the slimmest of the pack at a mere 11.9 millimeters and the lightest at about 116 grams. It has a 3.2-inch AMOLED screen that has great color and resolution and even comes with a light sensor to regulate the screen’s brightness. It comes with a mini USB port where one can connect a USB cable and transfer images, videos and music into its 40 gigabytes of storage space, eight of which is already on-board. It also allows one to store what is captured on the high-powered 5-megapixel camera found at the back of the phone. The signature D-shaped keypad makes for easy navigation and comes with an additional blank button that will return the user to the home screen.

The Galaxy i7500 comes with a virtual on-screen keyboard that is user friendly and comes with stereo Bluetooth and a clear loudspeaker. It comes with video capabilities and all these are supported power-wise by a Lithium battery that will allow for almost 9 hours talk time but much less when one is using the browser and other features but has been considered the strongest battery among the android phones. It is a great Google Android phone as it allows one to use Google Mail, Google Maps, Google Latitude, and other services offered by Google. Its browser has so far been lauded as it loads fast, has clear resolution, and coupled with Wi-Fi capability, makes for a great browsing experience. It used the Samsung PC suite, which will allow one to synchronize their phone and computer, sort documents and data stored on the phone transfer documents off and to the phone.

Its operating system or OS is the Android version 1.5 and has been nicknamed ‘Cupcake’. It allows one to move between applications, folders, and widgets in what is similar to walking around ones screensaver. It shows clear YouTube videos but it has been noted that it does not have a pre-loaded Facebook application that one can easily acquire over time. One can drag features and applications to the home screen from the menu in a flash and one can receive notifications on activities going on with Galaxy i7500’s applications like calendar reminders, text and call notifications and even sites that one has logged on to like Twitter and Facebook. This phone is highly anticipated in the world market, as it will change the face of smart phones forever.

The Motorola Cliq or Dext Android Phone

by admin on March 19, 2010

Motorola has just announced that it has come up with the CLIQ/DEXT, their first ever version of the Android phone. This is a relatively new phone that has not been distributed to most countries, and the manufacturers say that the new phone could be in the USA market in a matter of days. For all the complex features that are found in this CLIQ/DEXT, it is designed in a way that you are going to find easy to use, and will make it easier for you than before to manage all your social experiences. This phone has a full QWETRY keyboard, and its hardware has modest but significant improvements that will make the user fall in love with it quickly.

The fact of the matter is that the CLIQ/DEXT has many fantastic features consolidated into one. It has a 3.5mm headset jack, and you will be fascinated with its multimedia capabilities. They include a 5mp camera that can capture your favorite video at 25/fps and a resolution of 2560 by 1920. Another thing that you will agree puts the CLIQ/DEXT in a world of its own, is the fact that it has a Motorola BLUR, which is embedded software. This is surely going to improve the interface of the stock Android user by far, and make it possible for other functionalities that were hitherto not available.

This magnificent phone measures only 4.5 by 2.3, and this means you can comfortably put it in your pocket. It looks stylish, being made of black plastic and glass on the front panel. The sides are then darkened with chrome accents, and the touch screen is 3.1 inches. Once you decide to slide it, the front panel will reveal a four low QWERTY keyboard, which has a five-way control pad on the left. With such a keyboard, the typing is going to be quiet, accurate, and indeed comfortable.

Unlike other phones whose quality of reception is wanting, the CLIQ/DEXT has excellent reception, and the earpiece speaker is quite powerful. Even on a Bluetooth headset, all calls on a CLIQ/DEXT will sound very clear, loud, and powerful. The phone has come to change for the better your social networking and messaging. This is made possible by the Moto BLUR, which brings together updates from all the social networks. These include Facebook, twitter, Gmail, Yahoo, and several other networking groups.

You also gain quick access to all the important happenings any time they happen, the weather forecasts, and other information. Better still, can you imagine that the CLIQ/DEXT can for example, if a contact changes their face book profiles or phone numbers, pick up the changes and make the necessary adjustments on its own phonebook! Although this phone is presently heading to the USA, it is expected to be distributed to other parts. It uses GSM network, and is available in several colors including winter white, black or titanium. The battery used by the CLIQ/DEXT is long lasting, and can support up to 6 hours of continuous talking.
